That my friend is a … That my friend is a mating behavior. Your lovebird is what it’s called “masturbating” or getting it onn with the toy. AS you can also see, he is regurgitating in order to “feed” his mate. It’s not safe to determine its sex this way though but My quaker does it all the time like that and hes a male.

Yes and female lovebirds do it as well.
